My Websites
I took a web design and production class where I learned how to design and develop websites. While in the class, I created two different live websites using WordPress. These are linked below.
For this project, I was given a prompt: create a blog-style site for writing entries as a time traveler. I had to address the prompt and make an 8-page (or more) WordPress website. Wisconsin Time Traveler’s Journal is a blog style site for writing entries for Wisconsin time travelers. Users can visit historical places in Wisconsin and write journal entries reflecting on their experience. This site would be used for people to learn more about Wisconsin’s history and share their experiences. The website is linked below.
To gain experience with e-commerce websites, another project required me to showcase objects that have meaning in my life. My website needed to emulate an e-commerce catalogue, but instead of selling the product, I was selling the meaning. For this website, I was expected to create a 25 page website, with a minimum of 20 products organized into at least three categories. Each product had to have its own page. I took all the photos on the website.
Due to using a free e-commerce plugin to create this website, it is not representative of how I would fully customize it.
