Websites
My Websites
I took a web design and production class at school where I learned the design and development of websites . We focused on the conceptual development and layout of websites as well as its use in multiple devices. While in the class, I created two different live websites using WordPress. These are linked below. With the knowledge I learned in this class, I was also able to create this website myself.
For this class project, we were given an unusual prompt: create a blog-style site for writing entries as a time traveler. I had to address the prompt I was given to the best of my ability and make an 8-page (or more) WordPress website. My prompt was Time Traveler’s Journal and I was given a theme, content, and some features to include on the website. Wisconsin Time Traveler’s Journal is a blog style site for writing entries for Wisconsin time travelers. Users can visit historical places in Wisconsin and write their journal entries reflecting on their experience. People are able to learn more about Wisconsin’s history and share their experiences. The website is linked below.
For this class project, we had to find objects that have meaning in our life. From there, our website needed to emulate an e-commerce catalogue but instead of selling the product, we were selling the meaning. For this product, we had to create a 25 page website, with at least 20 products organized into at least three categories and each product had to have its own page. All the photos included on the website, I took myself.
Since we created this websites in a class, we didn’t have access to fully customize or edit everything on the website when using the free version.
